A company in the United States called Planned Parenthood has distributed free QR code enabled condoms that let users “check-in” after having had safe sex.

So ultimately the campaign is promoting safe sex – the idea being after having had safe sex with your QR code-enabled condom you can scan the code and upload the location to the “Where did you wear it?” website.
Once on the site users can rate the quality of their experience. Even if a user didn’t have a QR code-enabled condom the user could still check in. “We hope the site promotes discussions within relationships about condoms and helps to remove perceived stigmas that some people may have about condom use,” says Nathan Engebretson of the Great Northwest Coordinator for Planned Parenthood.
Also on the site is an interactive map that shows where people are having safe sex. The check-in map can be filtered by age, gender and location. Engebretson says: "We really wanted to give people an option so they could see their check-in reflected on the map but at the same time give them some privacy."
